The
Ramainz
As
the millenium passes us by, we can reflect upon the many advances
our society had made in recent years. We send men into space every
day, computers can run our lives with the press of a button and
most musical artists rely on studio trickery to enhance the sound
of their music. While a great case can be made for most of these
advancements, the spirit of rock and roll is nearly extinct on
the airwaves and in CD and record bins across the world. The notion
of a few musicians getting together in their garage and making
it to the top of the rock world without selling their musical
soul to the corporate rock devil is nearly unthinkable .
Like a gemstone among rocks, we are proud to bring you the Ramainz,
a trio comprised of Dee Dee Ramone, Marky Ramone and Barbara Zampini.
Dee Dee was a founding member of the pride of NYC, The Ramones,
and wrote many of the group's trademark tunes. Marky Ramone cut
his music teeth with punk legends Richard Hell & The Voidoids,
Wayne County & Dust before joining the Ramones just in time
to film the classic movie Rock & Roll High School. After 20
years and 2,000 plus shows these rockers press on with the formation
of the Ramainz. Word of this band spread worldwide though fanzines
and website and the clamoring began for a CD. GB Music answered
these screams with this CD, Live In NYC (now licensed through
Sanctuary Music Worldwide). This CD takes you inside a smoke filled
Club for a true heartfelt performance, which features many classics
as well as a few previously unreleased songs. There are no overdubbs
on this CD, what you hear is what the packed house at the Continental
heard that night, no gimmicks, no tricks just the spirit of rock
& roll.
