Gary began his musical odessey at the early age of 17 as a music journalist. His bylines were regulary found in the Brandeis Barrister and Harvard Crimson. Gary then became a Staff Writer at Boston's Beat Magazine before becoming Editor and Chief of The Rock Report.

Upon relocating to New York City, Gary decided to form a record label with his longtime associate and friend Hirsh Gardner. They both shared a common interest in well-crafted melodic rock and thought it was a niche which needed to be supported.

Hirsh rose to national prominence as drummer/vocalist for the group New England. The band recorded 3 albums and worked and toured with the likes of Kiss, Journey, AC/DC, Todd Rundgren and many others. In the 80s Hirsh began to spread his musical wings by producing other groups.

His efforts were acknowledged by The Boston Phoenix, nominating him for Producer of the Year three times. Hirsh has produced many of the GB Music releases and has recently returned to the studio as an artist, recording his new CD Wasteland For Broken Hearts.

GB Music is proud to announce that Joe Borress has signed on to head our movie soundtrack division. With his extensive experience in both the movie and music businesses, Joe is the perfect person to lauch this new venture. He will be based out of our New York office.
