Sylvain Sylvain is one of the true pioneers of punk rock. As guitarist for the legendary New York Dolls, Sylvain is regarded as one of the most influential musicians of the modern era. While many bands have come after the New York Dolls, few have combined the spirit of rock and roll abandon and a style all their own with such fervor and audacity.

Sylvain, along with David Johansen, wrote some of the classic Dolls tunes including Trash. After the Dolls went their own ways, Sylvain continued to release solo albums and tour. GB Music has reissued two of Sylvain's classic albums, Sleep Baby Doll and Bowery Butterflies. Combining a batch of new songs with a few new takes on Dolls' classics, these CDs prominently display Sylvain's ability to write great songs. Sylvain is on tour throughout 2003 in support of these releases.
